No sound or the wrong audio language

Updated 2026-10-31 · 1 min read

Picture without sound, or sound in the wrong language, is common and usually a setting.

No sound at all

  1. Check the TV volume and make sure it is not muted.
  2. Try another channel. If others have sound, the first channel may have a problem on its own.
  3. In the player's settings, look for the audio output option and try a different one.
  4. If you use a soundbar or HDMI audio, switch the TV to its own speakers to test.

Sound but out of sync

Restart the channel. If it repeats, close the app and open it again. A slow connection can also make lip-sync drift.

Wrong language

Many movies and series carry several audio tracks. During playback open the audio or language option, usually shown as a speech bubble or a settings gear, and choose another track.

Missing language

Not every title has every language. If a film is only available in one language, tell us the title and the language you need. We can check whether another version exists.

Surround sound

If you hear only a stereo mix, check the TV and app audio settings, and whether your receiver accepts the format.

FAQ

Can I change the subtitle language too?

If the title includes subtitles, the same menu usually shows them.

Why is one channel quiet?

Channel volume can differ. Raise the TV volume or try another channel to compare.
